History of ACCC
No one can stop God from fulfilling His plans. He will fulfill them anyway. That sums up the history of ACCCS. That goes back to 1996 when the pop music band called Afrisa International moved into Southern California from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and made Anaheim, California, its home.
The band's owner decided to make the Main Place Christian Fellowship (MPCF) of Tustin/ Santa Ana, the groups home church. Pasteur Kasereka Kasomo was then Associate Pastor at MPCF. Most of those musicians could not understand English.
There were also some older women from DRC in the same church who could not understand English either.
From that communication need was born the ministry to French speakers, with an emphasis on people speaking Lingala, another trade language spoken in Central Africa.
Up to August 2000, the ministry was still limited to bible study and prayer group. Then in August 2000, a group of six men and three women met to decide how a formal church would be launched. On September 2000, we started our services in homes and garages. Then came the time when neither living rooms nor garages that were serving us as church building could not hold the growing number of attenders any more.
In March 2001, the Oceanside Christian Fellowship of El Segundo, California, allowed us to use their facilities for our Sunday afternoon services. In October 2003, we relocated in another Evangelical Free Church facility, located in a strategic place close to down town Los Angeles. In October 2005, we became member of the Evangelical Free Church of America.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7.
